Directions
If you are trying to find your way to us, hopefully, the following directions should make it easy for you. There is also a map at the end of the page which not only gives you an idea but also shows the field areas where we work.

Coimbatore
From the Airport
There are plenty of flight connections to Coimbatore, which is the closest airport, about 70 kms from here. If you let us know, a cab can always be sent down to pick you up. Otherwise, you can hire a cab from the airport - it should cost around Rs. 1000/-. it is a comfortable 2 hour drive from the airport to Kotagiri.

From the Railway Station
Most trains will get you only upto Coimbatore - you can either take a cab or you can catch a bus from Gandhipuram Bus Stand - they will get you to either Mettupalayam (plenty of buses every few minutes) or to Kotagiri. From Mettupalayam, we would recommend that you take a cab which will cost around Rs. 450/-.

From Mettupalayam Railway Station or Bus Stand
Only the Nilgiri Express train runs from Chennai to Mettupalayam. You can either take a bus - it might involve some waiting as the frequency of buses can be anywhere between half an hour to an hour, depending on the time of the day, or a cab. The bus journey can take about 2 hours or so while a cab will take only 45 minutes.

From Mysore
If you are landing in Bangalore, you either take a bus or a cab to Mysore (about 4 hours) - if in a cab, continue to Kotagiri (route Mysore - Gundlupet - Bandipur - Theppakadu - Masinagudi - Ooty - Kotagiri). Make sure that you take a left turn at Theppakadu as the route through Gudalur is long and tiring. Most people would be able to help you if you ask for the Kalahatti Ghat route. The total distance from Mysore to Kotagiri is around 100 kms.

If you are taking a bus, your route will take you through Gudalur upto Ooty where you will have to change buses to Kotagiri. You can also take a cab from Ooty (30 kms), which would cost around Rs. 400/-.
